Darrell is a Visual User Experience Design Lead at AVG Innovation, Amsterdam. He is responsible for the concept development, direction and delivery of visual design for mobile products concerning data privacy, security and the Internet of Things.
Integral to a product team with a startup ethos, he identifies user needs and engages in ideating inital concepts through storyboarding, wireframing, mobile prototyping and user research. Darrell works iteratively with an Agile development team to implement designs across the Android mobile platform as well creating marketing material for user acquisition on the Google Play Store and social media channels.
Prior to relocating to Amsterdam, Darrell spent 10 years in Singapore creating digital consumer products for Electrolux, Autodesk and Philips Design for global markets in both capacities as a visual and interaction designer.
Darrell started his career in Sydney, Australia and graduated with a Bachelor of Media Communications with Honors from the University of NSW.
